He explained that travellers are advised to carry proof of ownership such as invoices, bills, or photographs showing prior use and ensure compliance with customs procedures. He further noted that under **Section 124 of the Customs Act**, a Show Cause Notice (SCN) and an opportunity for a hearing are mandatory before any confiscation or penalty. Failure to follow these due process requirements can render seizure orders vulnerable to judicial review.
