In light of the Business standard article on a recent Economic Survey revealing that 80% of flexi workers earn only Rs 20,000 a month, Jidesh Kumar emphasizes the urgent need for a legal framework that specifically addresses the unique needs of flexi workers. “The government must introduce a comprehensive legal framework specifically addressing the needs of flexi workers, covering aspects like job security, minimum wages, and social security benefits,” he stated.

To prevent exploitation and ensure fair terms, he recommends the development of standardized contract guidelines. “The government must develop standardised contract guidelines to ensure fair terms and prevent exploitation,” he noted.
