In a recent article published by *Business Standard* titled *“Unregistered agents sending Indians abroad risk jail: Know the law,”* Deepika Kumar commented on the legal framework governing overseas employment services in India.

She stated, *“Under Indian laws, it is only agents who are registered with the Ministry of External Affairs under the Emigration Act, 1983 who are authorised to provide overseas placement services.”*

Her insights highlight the critical need for compliance with Indian emigration laws to protect job seekers from fraudulent recruitment practices.
