# Aurelia Menezes Backs SEBI’s Stand on Related Party Norms: “No Room for Word Games”

**KSK’s partner, Aurelia Menezes** has weighed in on the ongoing SEBI–Linde India debate, strongly endorsing SEBI’s interpretation of related party transaction (RPT) norms. In a recent *Business Standard* article, Menezes remarked:

*“While Linde’s position relies on orthodox textualism and selective legal interpretations, SEBI’s view is pragmatic, cohesive, aligned with the LODR’s spirit and better safeguards systemic integrity.”* 

Her statement comes amid a Securities Appellate Tribunal (SAT) hearing where **SEBI challenged Linde India’s interpretation of RPT definitions**, warning against linguistic technicalities that may undermine regulatory intent.
