# Contractual service rendered prior to regularization shall also be counted for the purpose of granting annual increments and pension

The High Court of Himachal Pradesh while hearing CWP No. 14870/2024 had opined that the benefits of contractual service shall be extended not only for the purpose of pension but also for the purpose of annual increments. It is a settled position in law through several pronouncements of the apex court and this court that contractual service followed by the regular service, without interruption must be considered together for the purpose of annual increments and pensionary benefits.
