As of 16 July 2025, over 30.94 crore unorganised workers, including domestic workers, have been registered on the Aadhaar-seeded e-Shram portal. The integration of the e-Shram “One-Stop-Solution” platform, launched in October 2024, now enables these workers to access and track benefits from 14 major social security and welfare schemes such as PM-SVANidhi, PMAY (urban and rural), PMJJBY, PMSBY, AB-PMJAY, NFBS, PM-KMY, MGNREGA and PMMSY, among others, through a single digital interface. Protections under, the Unorganised Workers’ Social Security Act, 2008, the Minimum Wages Act, 1948, the Sexual Harassment at Workplace Act, 2013, and anti-atrocity legislations are being actively enforced. The Ministry has further advised State and Union Territory governments to regulate private placement agencies, a critical move aimed at preventing exploitation and abuse.
