# Joining the Account Aggregator Ecosystem as Financial Information User

The Reserve Bank of India has directed[[1]](#_ftn1) that all Regulated Entities that have entered the Account Aggregator (**“AA”**) Ecosystem as Financial Information Users (**“FIUs”**) also join as Financial Information Providers (**“FIPs”**), provided they hold specified financial information and meet the criteria of a FIP. This might increase the FIP pool and appears to need reciprocity in data sharing across the ecosystem. It remains to be seen how the AA Master Directions are updated as a result of this, whether any additional categories of financial information are included, and whether explicit references/directions on interoperability across ecosystem members are included.
