# The EPFO issues user manual for allotment and activation of UAN through UMANG App

In order to simplify and make the entire process of allotment and activation of UAN more robust, the EPFO vide notification no. WSU/MemberProfile/E-710137/2025-26/17 dated April 8, 2025, has introduced Facial Authentication Technology (FAT) for UAN allotment and activation, for members/employees. This facility is also available for downloading e-UAN card PDF for handing over to employer for onboarding with EPFO. The FAT ensures full proof validation with AADHAR data.
