Rhea Susan Verghese focuses primarily on Litigation and Dispute Resolution. She has substantial experience in research revolving around the aspects of MoEF under the ambit of the Environment Protection Act 1986, mapping of Power Purchase Agreements, Drafting of Caveats, Contract Act 1872 guidelines, Speculations of Corruption in International Arbitration (Money-laundering), Construction Arbitration, Maritime Arbitration, facets of Dispute Resolution- Arbitration, Conciliation, Mediation & Negotiation. During her internship stint under the then President of SC Bar Association, Mr. Dushyant Dave she closely worked on the Mediation aspects of the Nirbhaya matter.
Rhea advises a broad spectrum of clients, working primarily with institutions, Multi-National companies, and has previously worked with various Arbitrators and SC Lawyers alongside a couple of corporate setups. She has also attended a few one-day training programs under the superior guidance of Mr. Gary Born [International chair SIAC, Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP]. She has been a consistent participant in all ICC Arbitration Conferences from 2017 onwards. In December 2017, she had the opportunity to attend the Annual ICC Arbitration Conference UK as a student representative from Queen Mary University of London, UK.
Advised and assisted clients with filing applications before NCLT, filing claims with IRP on behalf of financial creditors, attending CoC meetings, giving opinions on technical queries, assisting the financial creditors with regards to the analysis of information memorandum shared by the IRP, appearing before the Bench and moving the application for change or IP.
