Aurelia Menezes Highlights the Impact of MCA’s New LLP Exit Policy in The Hindu Business Line
In a recent article by The Hindu Business Line, Aurelia Menezes provided key insights into the Ministry of Corporate Affairs’ (MCA) latest policy aimed at streamlining the exit process for Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs). The policy, which takes effect on August 27, introduces a significant change allowing non-operational LLPs to apply for strike-off directly through the Centre for Processing Accelerated Corporate Exit (C-PACE).
Menezes emphasized that this new provision enables LLPs that have been inactive for one year or more to efficiently initiate the strike-off process. “This move will ensure speedy processing and ease of compliance, in addition to reducing the burden on jurisdictional registrars,” she stated. Her comments underscore the anticipated positive impact of the policy on both businesses and regulatory bodies, marking a pivotal step towards simplifying corporate compliance in India.
