Gauri Jagtap Highlights Real Estate Reforms Sought for Homebuyers in Budget 2025

As the real estate sector prepares its wishlist for Budget 2025 under Modi 3.0, calls for structural reforms to enhance affordability and efficiency have gained momentum. Speaking to Business Standard, Gauri Jagtap, KSK’s Associate Partner, emphasized key initiatives that could benefit both developers and homebuyers.

“Granting industry status to real estate is a long-standing demand. It would help developers access institutional funding at lower interest rates, reducing costs for both developers and homebuyers,” said Gauri, addressing the critical need for enhanced financial support in the sector.

She also underlined the importance of sustainability in the housing market. “Encouraging green buildings and energy-efficient homes through GST reductions or home loan interest rebates would support environmental goals while making sustainability more accessible to homebuyers,” she added.
