In a recent article published by Business Standard, Jidesh Kumar emphasized the significance of extending insurance benefits under the Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance (EDLI) Scheme. Initially capped at ₹6 lakh, the benefits were raised to ₹7 lakh in 2021 for a three-year period. The current extension ensures these enhanced benefits remain available to Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) members beyond the original timeframe.
