In the article, Jidesh shed light on the operational hurdles faced by telecommunications companies as they work towards compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act. He emphasized the complexities involved in adapting to the Act’s stringent provisions, particularly in scenarios involving bundled services.
He remarked, “Obtaining explicit consent for data collection and third-party sharing, especially in bundled services like OTT subscriptions and digital payments, requires major operational changes.”
