EPFO approves version-2 of the Standard Operating Procedure for processing of joint declaration of member profile updation.

EPFO has issued a Circular dated March 26, 2024 bearing No. WSU/2022/Rationalisation of work areas/Joint Declaration/256, which outlines the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for processing member profile updates in EPFO. In supersession of the previous standard operating procedures, competent authority has approved the SOP (version-2) on Joint Declaration of member profile updation.  It is emphasized that field offices must conduct thorough due diligence in processing joint declaration requests to prevent cases of impersonation, identity theft, or any other fraudulent activities. The said SOP delineates the procedure of receipt of joint declarations for the correction of UAN profiles by the members and employer and the method of correction in UAN profiles by the members and employer and the method of corrections to be followed by the field offices.
