Madhya Pradesh: Strengthened Enforcement of Building & Construction Workers Welfare Cess

The Madhya Pradesh Labour Commissionerate issued circular dated March 7, 2025, outlining new administrative measures for the effective assessment and recovery of cess under the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Cess Act, 1996. Officers were directed to ensure timely registration, mapping of permissions, and prompt remittance of cess to the Welfare Board.
