Revision of Minimum Wages in Madhya Pradesh for updated rates for April-September 2026, Dated a March 31, 2026
The Labor Commissioner’s Office of Madhya Pradesh has revised minimum wage rates, including the Variable Dearness Allowance (“VDA”), for 67 scheduled employments effective from April 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026. This adjustment, driven by the All-India Consumer Price Index rising to 425 by December 2025, mandates monthly wages based on a 26-day working month across four skill categories – Unskilled workers receive INR 12,425 (INR 478 daily), Semi-skilled workers receive INR 13,421 (INR 516 daily), Skilled workers are entitled to INR 15,144 (INR 582 daily), and Highly Skilled employees receive INR 16,769 (INR 645 daily). Each total monthly wage incorporates a uniform VDA of INR 2,850, which serves as a mandatory addition to the base rates established in March 2024 to ensure pay remains aligned with current living costs.
