Conditions for employing women workers during night in the state of Haryana

The Governor of Haryana in notification No. 11/6/2022-4lab dated 14.03.2024 has issued the following condition for factories seeking exemption to employ women during the night shifts, that is, from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM. These regulations focus on ensuring the safety and security of female workers. They include measures such as prohibiting sexual harassment, forming Internal Committees, implementing policies against harassment, providing adequate lighting and CCTV coverage, organizing transportation with security measures, deploying women supervisors for night shifts, obtaining consent from female workers for night shifts, offering medical facilities, adhering to labour laws, facilitating grievance redressal, conducting awareness programs, and submitting annual reports on women workers’ details and any incidents to relevant authorities.
