The Government of Puducherry has issued an order dated 24.04.2023 to the effect that the Application for Registration or the Amendment of establishments that employ contract labourers under the Contract Labour (R&A) Act, 1970, and the Application for Registration of establishments employing migrant workmen under the Inter-State Migrant Workmen (RCES) Act, 1979, will now be exclusively through the online portal through the website of the Labour Department, Puducherry. The online mode can be used to track the status of the application, download the certificate upon approval, and also pay the required fee without having to submit the same physically. The online portal comes into effect immediately and the practice of issuing signed copies stands dispensed.
The Government of Puducherry through the Office of the Chief Inspector of Factories and Boilers has issued an order dated 26.04.2023 to specify that the intimation of national and festival holidays by factories under Form V of the Puducherry Industrial Establishment (Industrial and Festival Holidays) Act, 1964 will now only be provided through the online portal through the website of Labour Department, Puducherry. This online portal will help to track the status of applications by the factories for national and festival holidays and the same can be downloaded from the portal without adieu. The use of the online portal comes into immediate effect and further practice of issuing a signed copy of the application under Form V will be dispensed.
