Special Survey Drive Under The Employees State Insurance Act, 1948

The Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), New Delhi, by notification No.S-11/15/1/2010- Rev.II dated November 1, 2022, has advised the ESI authorities to conduct a focused survey of uncovered factories, establishments and employees in the ESI-covered areas for the period between November 1, 2022, to  December 31, 2022.

The ESI authorities are advised to liaise with the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation, Comptroller and Auditor General, Ministries of State and Central Government or local offices such as the universities, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Industries, Federation of Indian Industries, etc., and obtain data of factories and establishments registered with them. Further, the notification requires the authorities to scrutinize the data obtained, and unregistered units may be visited/surveyed by them with the approval of competent authorities.
