U-Win To Manage Immunisation In India

– FEBRUARY 01, 2024; Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman announced the launch of the U-WIN platform in the interim budget. The platform will help manage immunisation and expedite the implementation of ‘Mission Indradhanush’ which aims to enhance immunization coverage for all vaccines provided under the Universal Immunization Programme as per the National Immunization Schedule (‘NIS’).

The U-WIN portal will be linked to the Co-WIN portal and the beneficiary records from the Co-WIN portal can be accessed through U-WIN using the registered mobile number of the beneficiaries.

The platform maintains an electronic record of routine immunisations including the vaccination status of the beneficiary. It will also facilitate the registration of children for immunization.
