West Bengal Integrates Licensing Under Labour Laws Into The Single Window Portal For The Investors

Silpasathi, the Single Window Portal, which is the single point for the investors for obtaining licenses/registrations/ approvals/ NoCs for setting up industries and operating business in the State, will also be facilitating the registration and licensing under labour laws such as the Factories Act, 1948, the Boilers Act, 1923, Contracts Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970, Shops and Establishment Act, 1963, Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1996 and Inter-State Migrant Workmen (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1979. The State government by notification[1] has directed the employers to submit applications online through Silpasathi for registration and renewal under the said labour legislations with effect from 1st January 2023.
