Rohitaashv Sinha Shares Insights on the Implementation of India’s Labour Codes

In a recent interaction with Moneycontrol, Rohitaashv Sinha shared his views on the implementation of India’s new labour law framework, highlighting that the intended benefits of the Labour Codes can only be realised once States notify the corresponding rules.

Commenting on the current status of implementation, Rohitaashv observed that while the Labour Codes envisage significant reforms including wider social security coverage for gig and platform workers, digitalisation of benefits for migrant workers, improved occupational safety standards, and streamlined grievance redressal mechanisms, these measures remain largely ineffective in the absence of notified State rules.
